Chandigarh: UT adviser Nitin Yadav on Wednesday gave the go ahead for the inauguration of the state-of-the-art bulk material market in Sector 56. The market will have 191 plots and 48 booths spread over 45 acre. The development of the bulk market will help shift the marble market.

Redwood Materials Secures Extended Contract as Key Supplier of EV Battery Materials for Toyota
Redwood Materials has signed a long-term agreement to supply Toyota with recycled materials for its North Carolina electric vehicle battery plant. Redwood, a battery recycling specialist, will remanufacture EV battery components sourced from Toyota and recycled from end-of-life vehicles. The specific terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. Redwood aims to expand its business in line with Toyota’s future requirements and establish a closed-loop battery ecosystem to reduce costs and minimize environmental impact. The company plans to achieve an annual battery component production capacity of 100 gigawatt-hours in the US, with potential for expansion to 500 GWh.
