Q: Why did you want to start this kind of business?
A: Photography is an art form that I feel has a direct impact unlike any other. Firsthand I’ve seen people gain confidence and see themselves in a better light after a glamour or boudoir session. Women have cried happy tears seeing their photographs. And I know it’s helped me with my own self confidence as well. As for the maternity and newborn side of things, those memories are absolutely precious. As I lose loved ones or my children get older, I’ve learned how important photographs are. They are our legacy.
Q: How did you get your start?
A: I got my degree in photography and practiced photographing my friends and family to start.
Q: What does your business sell or provide?
A: Maternity, family, newborn, headshots, glamour and boudoir photography. We’re full service, so hair and makeup, session planning and a client wardrobe are all included in sessions.
Q: What is the biggest challenge you are facing right now?
A: I would say time. I work from home half the week while editing photos, so it can be tricky balancing that and being a mother to my three children.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do or place in Cumberland County?
A: I adore the neighborhood in Wormleysburg that my family and I live in. It’s safe, and there are always kids outside playing. Plus I really like the West Shore School District. My daughter always seems happy there, and the teachers are very supportive.
