SHAMOKIN — A group of photography enthusiasts gathered Thursday evening to kick off a weeklong exhibit featuring local artists.

The event, held at the Northumberland County Council for the Arts gallery, 2 E. Arch St., spotlighted about 25 works from four local artists. Some of the items are listed for sale.
