My mother’s older sister lived right up to the age of 100. They had a great uncle, Will, who lived 101 years, perhaps born before the Civil War. I have a photo of them with my grandfather and my aunt’s son — five generations. I remember my mom holding that photo and recounting stories about all of them, events that happened long before I was born.
There’s just such a family “photograph” in the Bible. A written picture containing nearly 50 family members. And, luckily, their stories were carefully penned and passed from one generation to the next. Even better, some told what would happen in the future.
