RICE LAKE — Dave Greschner is well-known in northwestern Wisconsin, a longtime award-winning sports and outdoors writer and photographer for the Rice Lake Chronotype. Now, after retiring from the newspaper, he is back with a new book, “Soul of the Outdoors,” reflecting on nature and wildlife.

Greschner graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, going to work at the Rice Lake Chronotype in 1975.
