Top prizes for the Spotlight on Photography were announced at the Montrose Center for Arts First Friday on March 1.

Known for her depictions of life on the Western Slope, Susan Humphrey took home First Place for her photograph, “Dusty Work.” Show judge William Woody explained, “In this frame the cattle are being driven away from the photographer. But this is why I like it so much. The cattle and the man driving them are moving through what appears to be fog or dust. It leaves me wondering where the adventure leads. It has a timeless feel about it.”
