Sandwich Middle High School 8th grader Lyla Vasquez took home two awards in the second annual Young Photographers’ Contest at the Hyannis Public Library.

In the “People” category, Lyla captured first-place honors for her photograph, “Pierson. She also won honorable mention in the “Things” category for “Wolves.” First-place awards included a cash prize, and all entries can be viewed online at www.hyannislibrary.org.
