“Dry Documentaries,” an exhibit by Long Island photographer Scott Farrell, will be on view in the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History’s Naturescape Gallery during July and August.

“Dry Documentaries” is a body of work that depicts both familiar and imagined landscapes while simultaneously exploring organic and abstract art forms. The landscapes, seascapes and abstract visions that make up this multi-part series are nonmanipulated images captured as camera raw files. Only minor contrast, color and tonal balance adjustments have been applied to the digital negatives. The images might initially seem to portray a scope that is vast and expansive when, in reality, they oftentimes measure less than eight to 24 inches in length or height.
