“Teaching Youth To Shoot With Cameras Not Guns” is a program created by Duane C. Fernandez Sr., founder of Hardnotts Photography LLC and a photojournalist for the Daytona Times. Fernandez’s summer photography sessions have been held at the African American Museum of the Arts in DeLand for the past 10 years during the museum’s summer program. Fernandez’s sessions are continuing this summer on Fridays with youngsters learning the art of photography and creating their own images.
