The Philadelphia 76ers will honor franchise icon Allen Iverson with a sculpture at their training complex on April 12.Iverson’s likeness will join the 76ers Legends Walk, standing alongside franchise greats such as Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, and Charles Barkley.”Allen Iverson is one of the greatest 76ers to ever live and one of the most iconic players in the history of the NBA, and we’re thrilled to honor his accomplishments,” said franchise owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer.The announcement comes on the 10th anniversary of the franchise retiring Iverson’s No. 3 jersey.The Answer spent his first 12 NBA seasons in Philadelphia after it drafted him first overall in 1996. A seven-time All-NBA selection during his tenure, he led the organization to the NBA Finals in 2001, the same season he won MVP.He ranks prominently on several franchise leaderboards, including total 3-pointers made (first); minutes played, points, and steals (all second); and assists (third).
