Thinking with The Thinker
Walking through Times Square—because I’m a first-year, and because my parents are here for the weekend, and because I feel a touristy obligation to wander around Midtown at least once—I see a living statue, covered head to toe in golden paint. The sign on the bucket underneath their milk-carton pedestal gives away the aliveness of the statue: “$1: I unfreeze, $5: I go crazy.”
