Question: So what got you so interested in photography?
Answer: I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember and only just recently have started to take it seriously. I currently am building a motorsports photography business with hopes of doing it full-time and traveling the world covering a variety of different series. Superbike racing is my favorite sport to photograph. The athleticism of the riders and the proximity in which they ride to the ground makes for amazing photos.
Former Ashland Oredocker and 2021 graduate Jason Van Horn is no less involved with competitive sports than he was as a ‘Docker tennis player, trap shooter and skier, despite never donning the maroon and gold of his University Minnesota-Duluth’s Bulldogs. On pace to graduate in 2025, Van Horn is an avid photographer who has captured myriad professional-caliber photos at ABC Raceway and other sports venues.
