LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area is giving the public the chance to start a journey to becoming a nature photographer.

Beginning at 2:00 p.m. on May 5th, the park will host a free program on Beginning Nature Photography at the visitor center.

Tim Johnson, a Nature Photographer from the Photographic Society of NW Arkansas, will be there to walk participants through the “ABC”s of photography in nature and the utilization of macro photography.

The things learned in this class will give you the basics of nature photography and set you up to be successful on your journey into nature photography.

Johnson, well-versed in nature, leads nature walks through winter eagle cruises and outings at Hobbs State Park.

He recently traveled to Alaska to photograph landscapes and wildlife in Wrangell-St Elias National Park.

If weather allows, a hands-on session will follow the lecture so bring your current camera you use.

This is an event recommended for participants 16 years and older.
