LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Bellagio is giving an artistic look into the cultural and technological transformation of China just in time for AAPI month.

The contemporary Chinese photography exhibit ‘From Pixel to Grain’ is now available at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art.

The gallery highlights the use of the body as a canvas, exploring colorful scenes and reinterpretations of art history through the lens of societal representation.

“For these artists, photography served as a powerful media to reckon with their placement within a very charged and pivotal moment in history,” said Demecina Beehn, MGM Resorts Director of Art & Culture.

Guests will be greeted by a threshold of paper lanterns, trailing vines, and gold chains to welcome them into a showcase of black and white photography and colorful panoramas.

Art enthusiasts can leave their mark by personalizing and tying their own wishing tag to the golden chains, leaving behind aspirations for the future.

Artists featured in the collection include Cang Xin, Cui Xiuwen, Hai Bo, Hong Hao, Hong Lei, Huang Yan, Qiu Zhijie, RongRong, Tong Dazhuang, Wang Qingsong, Weng Fen, Xing Danwen, Zhang Huan and Zhang Peili.

From Grain to Pixel is on display at Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art through October 6, and is open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily.

Last admissions are sold 30 minutes before closing time. Complimentary with admission, daily docent-led tours are held at 2 p.m.

Tickets are available for $18 for adults and $15 for Nevada residents, seniors 65 and older, students, teachers, and military with a valid ID. Children five and younger are free.
