A hilarious and heartwarming photography contest that puts animals’ comedic chops front and center has just revealed its cream of the crop entries, just in time for the final rounds of voting!

Take a look at this and try not to smile. These fabulous and funny furry friend photos are some of the finalists in the running for the top prize in the 2024 Comedy Pet Photography Awards.
Nearly three dozen images were submitted from around the world. Some have made the shortlist in the annual competition, which organizers call “a treat of happy, positive, and feel-good nonsense.”
It’s not all a laughing matter the competition aims to promote engagement in animal welfare while celebrating the vital roles animals play in our lives.
There’s a little of everything to tickle your photo funny bone. Like pet and owner lookalikes, a kitty-cat crammed in a crack, a high-kicking kung-fu canine, and a headless horse, which is just an illusion, of course of course.
The Cream of the Animal Kingdom comedy crop will be judged on both their photographic and comedic qualities.
An overall winner will be announced on June 6, along with a people’s choice award winner.
