BUFFALO — On Thursday at 7 p.m., Johnson County Library will host “Early Wyoming Photographers”, a presentation by Jennifer Romanoski, a museum educator at the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum, and Suzi Taylor, photo and reference archivist at the Wyoming State Archives. The event is a partnership between the Wyoming State Archives and the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum. The event is free and open to the public.
The presentation will focus on early photography in Wyoming, including a history of photographers George and Thomas Dalgleish and Dalgeish Bros. Studios, whose photographs are at the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum. That will be followed by a history of photography in Wyoming from circa 1867 through World War One. That section will focus on photographer training, subject specialities and more.
