During this time of year, there are celebrations galore. Especially at high schools, where many special moments can be found among the athletes finishing their spring seasons . . . and, for some, their high school careers.

The crowd goes wild on boys’ volleyball Senior Night as Minnechaug senior Jonah Rost, who has had shoulder-length hair since fourth grade, reveals his new buzzcut — the culmination of a GoFundMe charity drive to support the American Cancer Society. Rost vowed if he raised more than $2,000 he would buzz his hair and reveal his new cut on Senior Night.
