CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) – Tuttle walked us through the artistic process step by step:
1. Take a digital image (with your cell phone!) and print it on transparency paper.
2. Mix platinum and palladium minerals with light-sensitive chemistry and apply it to a paper, specifically made for this purpose.
3. Let it dry for 5 minutes.
4. Put the negative and the paper in a contact printing frame.
5. “Bake” the printing frame in a UV – Lightbox.
6. Pour developer on the negative to uncover the image.
The Light Factory Photo Arts Center is now located at VAPA and offers a variety of photography and arts workshops and courses as well as mentorship programs for kids and youth.
