I’m sure I am not the only one who has noticed this, but The Californian sports photography has been very good this year, especially those shot by stringer Rodney Thornburg!

I’ve known Rodney for many years, dating back to the Bakersfield College days and through the time he freelanced for us at The Californian when I was there. No matter the sport, Rodney’s images have been exceptional, and he just keeps getting better. You can tell he still loves taking pictures!
