LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Senior year can be an exciting time for students as they prepare for their next chapter, but one area women’s high school experience wasn’t always positive, due to bullying.
That’s why she’s now giving back in hopes of leaving Lynchburg students with a more uplifting experience.
Kiersten May is the owner of Kanded LLC where she and her photography partner and boyfriend Enrique want to make sure seniors have a fun memory to look back on that leaves them feeling beautiful and confident.
The couple is asking community members to nominate students at E.C. Glass and Heritage High School going through a tough time, and in return, the teens will receive a free senior picture session.

“I just want them to know that they’re supported, they’re loved, and I want to help boost their confidence because everyone is beautiful in their own way and being unique is great,” May said.
The kind act received praise on social media, but May said while she appreciates the kindness, she’s just trying to leave a positive impact.
Nominations are accepted through private messages on Kanded’s social media, website, or through email here. May requests students not be nominated by name publicly to respect their privacy.
The winning nominees will be chosen by the end of the month.
