A beaver’s carpentry skills and a seal trying to capture a fish got the attention of Oregon City commissioners as the city selected two artists to design panels for the new Downtown Public Restroom.

Lucas Nickerson, an OC-based artist, designed the side panels, and Oregon resident Desarae Guyton designed an illustrated map for the restroom. Nickerson’s design will be displayed on three panels that includes a beaver using its teeth to carve a mini-Municipal Elevator.
