“It was created with the intent to produce a replica of what is seen through a lens, in an unlimited fashion, where the image remains consistently the same, without nuance or filtration by the photographer,” the gallerist and art consultant said. “It’s been nearly 200 years since the first photograph was taken, and the medium has evolved to embrace so much more than its original intent.”
