The Washington County Historical Society is excited to announce a program by photographer Rhett Arens on Thursday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Washington County Heritage Center.

Arens is a photographer who has had the good fortune to travel extensively, visiting more than 60 countries over the last 30 years. Arens finds that photography often triggers a give-and-take moment when strangers meet. It becomes an opportunity to exchange stories and find common ground. His work has appeared in several publications, including The Paris Review, Travel + Leisure, Taproot, The Golfers Journal, Fifty Grande, Lake Superior Magazine, Islands, The Whitefish Review, Boundary Waters Journal and more.
