SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — The holiday season was in full swing in South Bend this weekend with the Holiday Market on Small Business Saturday.

Shoppers were able to walk through rows of pottery, ceramics, art, clothing and candles.

Many of the purchases made at the event went right back to businesses in the area.

Event organizers say they are proud to see the community come together to make the event happen.

Special Events Coordinator Demetrius Kennedy said, “It’s great to see the city coming together and pushing for all the businesses that are in this area, you know. That’s how we grow as a city. That’s how we grow as a community, but putting that support in one room and it just keeps on growing.”

Organizers say the event shows the importance of having dreams, and that if you have passion and work hard you can make a living out of what you love.
