These two Kodiak bears were found wandering along a road in Florida. They had been brought south from Alaska by a man the sheriff’s office called a ‘self-proclaimed bear trainer’, and they escaped the cage he built for them when he failed to close the gate properly. The man was arrested and is facing about a dozen charges relating to animal welfare; the bears, meanwhile, have been taken to a local zoo for safekeeping.
