Neil Salsich from St. Louis performed on “The Voice” during the Monday, April 24, series and, in a twist of fate, was grabbed to now compete under Team Kelly.

St. Louis native Neil Salsich performed during Monday night’s knockout round on “The Voice” and is now competing under Team Kelly Clarkson in a twist of fate.
During Monday’s premiere, Salsich went head-to-head with Grace West. After the performance, West was declared the winner after she performed Dolly Parton’s song “Here You Come Again.” However, moments later, Kelly Clarkson stepped in and stole Salsich to complete under Team Kelly.

Salsich grew up in St. Louis, and while he loved music as a youth, he never dreamed of making it a career, according to NBC. While in college, he majored in English with a minor in Music and ended up failing his minor but continued to pursue his passion.
In 2014, Salsich quit his job and committed to music full-time with his band, The Mighty Pines, and he is still with his band today. Salsich is now trying his luck on “The Voice” to see if he can make it “big” as a solo artist.
The next episode will include the playoffs to bolster further the competition following the knockout rounds. The ten remaining artists across Team Chance and Team Blake will take the stage, with each team only able to choose two artists to perform live during the season semi-finals.
