SOUTHBURY — The Southbury Public Library will host an artist’s talk by wildlife photographer James Ward from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, February 11, in the Kingsley Room at 100 Poverty Rd.

There is an exhibit of his photography on view at the Gloria Cachon Gallery in the library from February 2 through Wednesday, February 29.

James Ward is a wildlife photographer with a passion for preserving the beauty of the natural world. He is dedicated to capturing breathtaking moments in the lives of animals big and small. The talk will address the importance of wildlife conservation through the lens of Mr. Ward’s camera.

Mr. Ward is also a safari guide and agent and his company, Safari Professionals, specializes in designing tailor- made conservation-based safaris to Africa, India, Malaysia, Patagonia, Antarctica, and other wildlife destinations around the world. He also leads wildlife photography workshops to unique wild locations globally. He is a resident of Southbury.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
