WH photographer says aides knew for MONTHS Biden wasn’t fit for office

After Joe Biden‘s horrendous debate performance, current and former aides are saying the quiet part out loud and revealing what the President is like behind the scenes.

The White House and campaign blame a ‘cold’ for Biden’s low and, at times, hard-to-understand speaking voice. Others say this is what the President is like on a day-to-day basis now.

Former White House deputy director of photography Chandler West wrote in an Instagram story: ‘It’s time for Joe to go.’

‘I know many of these people and how the White House operates,’ West added. ‘They will say he has a ‘cold’ or just experienced a ‘bad night,’ but for weeks and months, in private, they have all said what we saw last night — Joe is not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago.’

Biden’s campaign tried to brush-off the issue and claimed the car crash performance was merely a ‘slow start.’

Current and former staffers say closest aides shielded President Joe Biden from those in and outside the White House since he took office – especially when it came to anything related to his health

Former White House deputy director of photography Chandler West (pictured) wrote in an Instagram story: 'I know many of these people and how the White House operates. They will say he has a 'cold' or just experienced a 'bad night,' but for weeks and months, in private, they have all said what we saw last night — Joe is not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago'

Vice President Kamala Harris was pressed in a tense post-debate interview on what Biden is like every day.

‘The person we saw tonight, the president we saw tonight on that stage: Is that how he is every day?’ CNN host Anderson Cooper asked Harris.

‘The Joe Biden that I work with every day is someone who, as I have said, has performed in a way that has been about bringing people into the Oval Office, Republicans and Democrats, to compromise in a way that is extraordinary these days, because it just doesn’t happen, but Joe Biden can make it happen,’ she replied, completely avoiding the essence of the question.

West, who was in his position at the White House from January 2021 to May 2022, told Axios: ‘The debate was not the first bad day, and it’s not gonna be the last.’

Reporters have complained for years about access to the president and claim wranglers are working to keep him with as little off-script time with the press as possible.

Speculation is swirling that those closest to the President, mainly First Lady Jill Biden, were shielding him since he took office – especially after his limitations were on full display at the debate on Thursday night.

A former White House residence official told Axios Jill was ‘so protective of the president’ and the first lady’s top aide Anthony Bernal ‘just protects her, and they often wouldn’t let us do anything for them.’

‘The separation between the family and the residence staff was so big, so divided,’ the former official added. ‘It’s not supposed to be and usually isn’t, even in the Trump White House.’

Since the first few months in office, residence staff felt that Biden’s closest allies were trying to keep anything about his health on the down low.

For example, during a very hot independence day celebration on the South Lawn on July 4, 2021, Biden went back into the White House where the door was abruptly shut behind him so butlers and other residence staff were blocked from aiding the President.

Aides suggested Biden was overheated, but it raised suspicion among staff and a consensus that they were creating a barrier around health-related issues.

A poll released Sunday reveals 72 percent of voters don’t think Biden has the cognitive faculties for another term in office. This is a seven percent increase from the same poll taken earlier in June before the debate.

Former White House physician Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) has repeatedly brought Biden’s cognitive and physical health into question.

He suggested that debate prep for seven days at Camp David was a way to get the drug cocktail just right before the showdown with Trump.

WTHR photographer adopts cat he saved from a car engine while working

INDIANAPOLIS — It’s not very often that a photographer gets to be a part of the story, but that’s just the case for WTHR 13News photographer Alex Almanza!

After returning from a shoot Saturday night around 11:30 p.m., Almanza heard a loud meowing coming from the station parking lot. He decided to look around and find the source of the meowing, when he found a small female cat stuck in the engine bay of one of the station’s cars!

Almanza called out a few others from inside the station to help him rescue the cat from the car. Once inside, the crew helped clean off grease and dirt from the her fur and helped make her comfortable.

As they debated on where to send our little friend, Almanza offered to adopt and care for her.

Now, he says she’s receiving plenty of play time and food!

Finding Joy in the Little Things

Finding Joy in the Little Things

Finding Joy in the Little Things | Atmos

Photographer Sirui Ma discovers beauty in the minutiae of everyday life in London, capturing joyful connections among friends and nature in a vast city.

I often describe my project, Little Things Mean a Lot, as a self portrait; as different parts of myself reflected in the images of the women around me. Subconsciously, I’m always looking for traces of myself in the people I photograph—that’s how I connect to them and convey feelings through my work. As an only child who grew up in many different places, living in a country with no blood relatives could’ve been an incredibly daunting and isolating experience were it not for my friends, who became my chosen family and my community.

In Little Things Mean a Lot, which was shot over the span of about a year, I was able to explore my connections to my friends and my surroundings as I made London my home. As I began to anchor myself in one place for the first time, I examined life’s minutiae, capturing the small ways in which I find joy and beauty in this vast city. In these photos I see myself in all beings—both human and nonhuman—around me, and in doing so, I’m announcing that I’m finally home.

7 reasons I think you should sign up for Amazon Prime as a UK photographer

7 reasons I think you should sign up for Amazon Prime as a UK photographer

With the best Amazon Prime Day camera deals just around the corner, now is the ideal time to sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. This membership not only grants access to the most attractive Prime Day deals, but also offers a range of other benefits that many are unaware exist.

Whether or not you want to support Amazon as a photographer, the value of Prime cannot be overlooked. The benefits highlighted here are tailored for photographers, though I must mention Deliveroo since free delivery on food is a universal perk!

I initially signed up for Amazon Prime during the lockdown to help with gardening and to purchase gadgets I didn’t really need. However, it has also saved me multiple times when I needed something urgently for a photo shoot and couldn’t visit the stores. At that time, I had no idea how extensive the benefits of a Prime membership were. It turns out I’m not the only one who was unaware…

1. Free next day delivery

One of the most significant advantages of signing up for Amazon Prime is free next-day delivery on thousands of items, including photography gear – be that filters, film or even your new main camera.

This is particularly useful for last-minute shoot preparations, making Amazon the quickest option. Prime’s premium delivery service has been a lifesaver on numerous occasions, and I appreciate the ability to filter searches to show only items with Prime delivery.

If you order early in the day, depending on your location, you might even receive same-day delivery, which makes Prime indispensable!

2. Discounts on Prime Day

As an Amazon Prime member, you can access exclusive discounts on a wide range of products during the two-day Amazon Prime Day sale. These deals are available only to Prime members, so it’s worth taking advantage of a free 30-day trial. This way, you can enjoy the massive savings available during Prime Day without being charged (just remember to cancel before the trial ends).

If you’re a student, you can get an even better deal with a 6-month free trial of Amazon Prime and a 50% discount if you decide to keep the membership! This way, you can snag the best deals not only on Prime Day but also on Black Friday!

3. Amazon Photos

All Amazon Prime members receive unlimited photo storage and up to 5GB of video storage with Amazon Photos. I only discovered Amazon Photos recently, and it’s surprising that Amazon doesn’t promote it more. Unlike Google Drive, which limits you to 15GB, Amazon Photos enables you to upload all your precious memories without worrying about space constraints.

This service is perfect for photographers looking to back up their work in the cloud without the extra cost of services like Dropbox or the best cloud storage for photos.

4. Prime Video

In addition to free next-day delivery, an Amazon Prime membership includes access to Prime Video, featuring hundreds of films, series, and Amazon originals. Considering that Netflix’s basic plan starts at £6.99 per month with only 480p resolution, Prime Video offers excellent value for money.

There are numerous major titles available for free, such as Lady Gaga’s House of Gucci, the critically acclaimed film Parasite by Bong Joon-ho, the blockbuster series Fallout and the photography documentary Finding Vivian Maier, among others. Prime Video can be a great source of inspiration for photo shoots and, for videographers, ideas on color grading, camera shots, and film angles.

5. Prime Music

If you’re looking to avoid paying for multiple streaming services like Spotify and Netflix, an Amazon Prime membership also includes access to Prime Music.

It’s different from Amazon Music, which offers 90 million songs, with Prime Music providing a selection of 2 million songs. But while you might not be able to listen to full albums by your favorite artists, it still offers plenty of music.

Prime members can upgrade to Amazon Music for an additional £7.99 per month, while non-Prime members pay £9.99. Many professional photographers find music to be an essential part of their creative process, particularly during editing or while shooting in the studio.

So, why not explore and find the perfect playlist to accompany your sessions?

6. Free Deliveroo Plus for a year

Amazon has partnered with Deliveroo to offer new Prime members in the UK a free year of Deliveroo Plus, which means free delivery on orders over £25.

You’ll need to sign up for this offer via the Deliveroo website, rather than through Amazon, but it’s definitely worth it, especially since some restaurants charge up to £4.99 for delivery!

Whether you’re powering through a heavy editing session or need food while on the road, this perk can be incredibly convenient.

7. Prime Reading

With Prime Reading, you can access a rotating selection of books and magazines on your Kindle or smartphone each month at no additional cost. While it doesn’t provide the tactile satisfaction of a physical book, it’s perfect for traveling when you need to minimize baggage weight.

Jersey exhibition to show life in Rohingya refugee camps

Jersey exhibition to show life in Rohingya refugee camps

An outdoor photography exhibition showcasing photos of Rohingya will be placed across seven locations in Jersey as part of a European premiere.

Jersey Overseas Aid said the Rohingya, who it has been supporting for five years, were an ethnic minority who had been denied citizenship in Myanmar and “faced decades of persecution”.

It said it would the first time the photos would be exhibited in in Europe, and would highlight the “trials, triumphs and resilience” of the camps in Cox’s Bazar – which together make up the largest refugee camp in the world.

Deputy Carolyn Labey, Minister for International Development and Chair of the JOA Commission, said its projects alongside partners “achieve extraordinary things in some of the most challenging environments in the world”.

She said: “The photographs featured in this exhibition are a testament to the resilience and dignity of the Rohingya people, as well as the vital work being done to support them.

“I am delighted that Jersey is hosting this powerful but beautiful selection of images that will provide a unique and highly personal perspective of a protracted crisis that rarely gets the international attention it deserves and where refugees seldom get the opportunity to tell their stories.”

Some photos depict images including the Great Fire in 2021, which refugee aid groups said affected between 40,500 and 50,000 people.

Others show the lives of children growing up in the refugee camps.

Photos from The Rohingya Experience will be placed around town at Liberation Square, West’s Centre, Charing Cross, the Cenotaph and on King and Queen Street from Monday 1 July until Sunday 14 July.
