This program is all about showing that law enforcement officers are human beings just like the rest of us. You could walk past someone in a store and never know they are a police officer! But the minute they put on their uniform, some people look at them and treat them differently. This program is to showcase their humanness. They have families to go home to, and have one of the toughest jobs there is.
Shayla has a personal connection to this project, as she grew up in a law enforcement home. Her dad and both grandfathers were police officers. Now, her brother has followed in their footsteps too! She is blessed to have been surrounded by these incredible men her whole life, and to bridge the gap between the general public and those who wear the badge is a cause near and dear to her heart.
She is going to offer these sessions for two days this spring/summer, May 18 and June 1. Its first come first serve. If you or anyone you know would be interested, message her on Instagram or Facebook.
